Hello Patty and thank you for considering PPH as your host. The best way to move your site would be to purchase an account which will give you the login information so you can upload all your files before making your switch. After all your files are in place you will need to change your DNS settings at your registrar to the ones in your welcome letter. Then you won't experience any downtime as the dns propagates the internet over the following 24-48 hours. You can then cancel your account with your previous provider.
